The history of Central Park goes back to the 1800’s when the city decided that it’s inhabitants would need some place to escape from the constant buzz of the city. They cleared an area and began landscaping.
Although once known for its high rates of crime, today Central Park is one of the safest parks in the world. During the winter, the park is transformed into a winter wonderland. Snow covers trails and fields, icicles hang from branches, and Christmas decorations are at every light.
